Shonna McDaniels is a visual artist who uses African textiles, paint, collaged paper, patterns, and symbols to create portraits that celebrate the beauty of Black women.
Shonna plans to create an abstracted train sculpture with sound elements that explores the historical context of African American musicians traveling on the train from other states to Sacramento.
