Do you love trees? Do you collect seed pods, cones, acorns?
City of Sacramento Arts and Culture invites you to join us on
SATURDAY JULY 8TH 10 am-11:30 am
35th Avenue at Park Village Street
We invite you to participate in a collaborative effort to assist Artist Janet Zweig , who is commissioned by the City of Sacramento Arts and Culture to create a major public artwork on the Del Rio Trail. This five-mile biking and walking trail, currently under construction, links several neighborhoods from Meadowview/Pocket to Land Park and beyond.
The artwork will be cast in bronze and include bronze seed pods, cones and acorns. It’s important to Janet that these pods, etc. are collected by YOU and represent Sacramento’s well known and beloved urban forest.
Meet project manager Kyle Hittmeier who will discuss the project and host a Facetime meeting with Janet at 10:30 am from her studio in Brooklyn! If you have any or can find some, please bring seed pods, cones or acorns. 😊
Coffee and pastries will be served!
