Linocut Printmaking with Peter Foucault

This past June, Del Rio Trail Artist Ambassador, Peter Foucault held a Del Rio Trail linocut workshop. With a goal of getting more community members excited about the new trail, which officially opened in May, we held this workshop right next to the trail at the future site of Adam Frank’s sculpture, Wayfinder.

Workshop participants made linocut prints by carving an image into linoleum, applying ink to the raised surface, and pressing paper onto the carved block to transfer the inked image. Folks of all ages were highly focused on their designs. Many participants carved and printed multiple linocuts! We loved seeing the creative prints that emerged from this workshops which depicted flowers, bikes, insects and more.
