Tobi Liston: Artivism Workshop

On June 10, 2023, Del Rio Trail Phase 1 artist, Tobi Liston hosted an Artivism workshop. Artivism is the practice of using art as a means for social change.

Tobi presented a history of Artivism and provided guidance on how to use creative expression to cultivate awareness and social change. During the workshop, we explored different mediums and techniques and made our own signs for a protest related to the use of Fossil Fuels. After the workshop, we attended the Climate Emergency Demonstration at the Capitol hosted by the Sac Climate Coalition where we practiced our new Artivism skills.
