Yared Portillo is a folk artist and musician who creates participatory music spaces for their community through organizing and education.
Yared plans to offer versada (verse composition) workshops in which participants are taught how to compose verses within the style of the fandango inspired by what they see and experience along the Del Río Trail. At the conclusion of the workshops, participants will be invited to share their composed verses in a community fandango.
