Jose Di Gregorio: Metempsychosis

Phase 1 artist, Jose Di Gregorio had an exhibit of paintings from his Del Rio Trail commission on view at Sol Collective from June 10 - July 28, 2023.

Titled Metempsychosis, Jose exhibited a selection of paintings made from pieces of abandoned fence wood along the Del Rio Trail.

Jose writes, "For Metempsychosis, I wanted to deconstruct my process to a more imperfect and tactile state, using found objects (discarded plywood, fence material, etc) located along the Del Rio Trail. The pieces consist of roughly-drawn or carved patterns, with emphasis on the topography of the wood grain and texture. To bring attention to what I typically overlook."
